I’m looking for one person, or a small group, to come help me start building what I dream of becoming the future headquarters of the Animal Earth Alliance here on the land. It’s all still in the dreaming stage, and that’s part of the adventure.
The most important thing
To come help, you’ll need to share the Alliance’s vision and values: compassion for all beings, working together across our differences, resolving conflict with care, healing and growing, shared decision-making, and lifting each other up. Please read our Vision and Values before you apply. If they feel like home to you, I’d love to hear from you.
Who I hope to meet
- Someone who loves animals and the earth, and is vegan or on the way
- Someone who wants to help the Alliance grow
- Someone handy with building and finish work, to help finish the Common House, or skilled with computers, video or writing
- Someone who values kind, honest communication and keeps growing in their relationships
- Someone happy with simple, rustic country living
Or maybe you are part of a group that is already ready to go, and your vision lines up with the Alliance. I would love to hear from you too.
Where you’d sleep
You’re welcome to use the Common House for cooking, working and gathering. Sleeping is another matter, though. For now, you’ll need to bring your own place to sleep, such as a camper, a van or a tent. We can talk about where on the land it would fit best.
How to apply
Email me and ask for an application: livablefutureproject at gmail dot com. Please put “AEA future headquarters” in the subject line, because I get a lot of spam.
The application asks about you, your love for animals and the earth, the skills you’d bring, how you like to live and work with others, and what you are hoping for. Then we’ll talk.
