I felt a connection with Katie, Shane Claiborne’s wife. I didn’t get to spend much time with her, but once I needed a listening ear when I needed to process a traumatic experience. She was very empathic and present as was Shane. Oh, and their dog is so cute! I am grateful that I got to know Katie and Shane as real live people who are walking their talk of following Jesus teachings of loving God and loving neighbor.
