Value: Communicating and connecting with with ALL of life with reverence

You might not normally think of communicating with insects. But boy can they bug us! I want to start getting along with them. This article from Innerself.com called Communicating With Insects As Fellow Intelligent beings was so inspiring to me. I long to get along with the ticks and chiggers which plague us here in the Ozarks at times.

Here is a play list I am starting about communicating with all of life, including nature spirits otherwise known as elementals.

In this article, “A Biologist Believes That Trees Speak A Language We Can Learn,” I felt inspired to start listening to trees and seeing if I can hear what they are saying. I practice this with Jesus, and I think that I can learn to hear trees, too.

……….

Here is a review of a book that really looks to be just what I need as I enter living with the community of all of life. Wellspring has no other human members except for me, and I am glad to start by considering myself a part of an already existing community–all of life!

Here is the review: from newspaper.animalpeopleforum.org

And here is an excerpt from the article.

Life Song: In Harmony With All Creation, by Bill Schul, Ph.D.
Stillpoint Publishing (Box 640, Walpole, NH 03608), 1994.
204 pages, with bibliography. $12.95.
“Bill Schul endorses the idea of a
universal life spirit, not the private domain
of homo sapiens, but shared by every organ-
ic entity on the globe. It is a spirit of com-
munication and intelligence, having its
essence at the very cellular core of each liv-
ing thing.
This is an idea of mythic and con-
tentious proportions, yet Schul glides easily
across this semi-mystic plane where many
others before him have been blown to bits by
the land mines of the Scientific Method.
In order to accept the idea of a uni-
versal life spirit, we are “required to adopt a
shift in consciousness,” somewhat an under-
statement when we are asked to consider our
spiritual and even intellectual kinship with
bats, gazelles, paramecium, toadstools,
snakes, and the like.
But it is this “shift in
consciousness” which makes or breaks his
argument, and like any other epiphany, it
occurs seldom and is little understood.
