I love to dance for my health and emotional well being

Today I am feeling particularly stressed about the Covid-19 situation. So I danced about 1/2 hour–playing the song on the video below over and over. I felt so energized and uplifted. Plus, the words feel like my theme song.

Here are some excerpts from the song that I resonate with.. You can find the full set of lyrics here.

Run away, they say
No one’ll love you as you are
But I won’t let them break me down to dust
I know that there’s a place for us
For we are glorious
I am who I’m meant to be, this is me
Look out ’cause here I come
And I’m marching on to the beat I drum
I’m not scared to be seen
I make no apologies, this is me
We are bursting through the barricades and
Reaching for the sun (we are warriors) (Patricia says–warriors using strategic nonviolence as our way of fighting)
Here is the dance video so I could dance to the song. It was so much fun to keep mastering it more and more and I kept dancing.

………………..

Everything is happening so fast, and I just heard last night that people in Northern California can’t even get out in nature. Or at least they can’t go to the beach. Some places people can’t go outside at all. Since I love being in nature, even thinking about people being trapped and limited like that hurts my heart.

I am going to be moving to the Wellspring Community land tomorrow–April 4, and I will be immersed in nature more than ever before in my life. I will have no electricity, heating (even by a wood stove) running water (rainwater is my source) propane. If I do cook, I will cook over an open fire until I make a rocket stove or a solar cooker. I really want to eat all raw, mostly wild greens and start living more and more on prana. We shall see!

I hope we can figure out how to have some recorded music–since we have no electricity or internet. If not, we will just have to sing the songs! Or someone could play an instrument.

Whatever happens, I will dance! Maybe you will join me?

Here is my exercise and dance play list, in case you want to dance during these trying times. I’ve heard it said that one hour a day of dancing will take away all emotional problems. I’ve never tried that, but I might be in the near future!
