How people who buy land can make decisions about the common areas

The person or people who buy land which is a part of the Wellspring Vegan Community will have access to the common areas as long as they abide by the rules and guidelines.

The common areas include the following:

Land on one side of the wet-weather creek that goes through the length of the property.

  • Common House
  • Outdoor kitchen
  • Playground, recreational area
  • Community gardens
  • Campground-for residents and visitors
  • Meditation and meeting YOME (this is tentative. it is possible that this might be sold)

The guidelines and rules are almost completed, so potential buyers can look at them before they buy land. Because people are buying with the reassurance that these guidelines and rules will be intact–they can not be changed or added to unless there is a consensus among the owners.

This ensures that the essential elements of the Wellspring Community will stay intact. Trust needs to be built so people can show that they have the highest interest of the community in mind as they make decisions and in order for them to change anything essential.

People who are part of the Wellspring egalitarian community will be provisional members for a year, and after that, have the option to be full members and thus have full decision making rights.
