The video above is by a doctor I trust and who has written a whole book about the topic of reversing diabetes. I’ve written more about Dr. Neal Bernard elsewhere in this article. There are so many things you can do to alleviate symptoms of diabetes–diet is just one of those things. I pray that you are motivated to do proactive things to help heal. Remember: with God, nothing is impossible!

I have a friend who has diabetes. When I offered to give his wife information about how to help her husband alleviate his symptoms naturally, she was eager to see what I had to share. I thought I was writing this for her and her husband.

Then I heard about a young man who is only 26 years old who has diabetes. He wants to give up on life. I felt even more motivated to write this article as a way of offering my skills in research and things that I already know (so I can discern what is true).

But I ended up being blessed because researching and writing reminded myself of all the healthy things I want to do in my life as I wrote this article. Even if you don’t have diabetes, you probably know someone who does. I pray that this might help the people I mentioned, as well as anyone who has diabetes.

If you want some general tips for having optimal health, I think you will benefit from this.

Did you know that hospitals were started by Christians who wanted to serve their community? Here is a very interesting article that talks about about the history of Christian hospitals. I intend to start a healing center where we use plant-based diet, herbs, cold therapy, forest therapy and every effective natural healing modality know and yet to be discovered. Laughter, play, gardening, exercise, singing, healthy socializing, hugs, service, learning how to forgive, healing past trauma’s with Jesus help and So much more will be included.

This is how life needs to be all the time, right? Once people come and are healed, they will want to maintain a healthy lifestyle and we will teach them how to do so. I feel excited and invigorated just thinking about this dream!

I’m sure these hospitals–and our future healing center–were saturated with the prayers of the nurses, doctors, patients and visitors. Here is an article about the scientifically proven benefits of prayer. Prayer is the first thing I encourage you to do if you or a friend have diabetes. And pray that you can do all the things that I suggest that you feel inspired to implement.

The Reverse Diabetes Diet is a book written by a physician who I have followed closely and who I respect immensely–Dr. Neal Bernard. In a review about this book which you can find here, the writer states<

“The book highlights dozens of different research studies clarifying how a WFPB diet reverses diabetes and its symptoms including heart disease.  A 2003 research trial at the George Washington University and the University of Toronto compared a WFPB diet with the diet recommended by the American Diabetic Association (similar to the diet recommended by Diabetes Ireland).   In a careful analysis that kept exercise and medication use constant, it was found that a WFPB diet controls blood sugar three times more effectively than the above best practice diet.  It also accelerates weight loss, controls cholesterol, and leads to a drop in blood pressure.”

“The book also provides detailed information on starting a WFPB diet, weight loss, an enjoyable exercise routine and healthy plant based recipes for seven days and is highly recommended.  The book is available at good bookstores and online.  You can also try the PCRM 21 day Vegan Kick Start program for free on the www.pcrm.org website.” (WFPB stands for Whole Food Plant Based.)

This article gives a lot of hopefulness when it comes to curing Type 2 Diabetes. https://thebeet.com/plant-based-diets-reversed-symptoms-of-type-2-diabetes-in-84-of-patients-new-study-says/

This article from WebMD talks about how a vegan diet can help alleviate symptoms of Type 1 Diabetes. I feel encouraged to see such a positive approach from a somewhat conventional website.

I love cold therapy. Here is an article that helps people with diabetes make sure this is a safe way to help their health. This article is written by a man who loves the Wim Hoff Method and wanted to see how this method affected his blood sugar levels. He was so impressed with the results that he is now helping a friend to try to reverse his Diabetes using the Wim Hoff Method.

I have been using the Wim Hoff method of breathing and taking cold showers for over a year now. I believe it has been a key in me staying healthy. I was sick for a week recently, but I still did the breathing and was able to do short bursts of cold shower alternating with hot. I was very weak during this time, and getting into the shower every day–often twice a day–seemed to give me strength and also kept my spirits up.

Having a debilitating disease like diabetes can contribute to depression and discouragement. Therefore, nurturing your faith in a loving God and taking your thoughts captive is essential for healing. When you have more of a positive attitude with God’s help, when you make the decision to trust God, you will feel more motivated to do all the things that are good for you. This video by Dr. Carolyn Leaf has information about how to overcome depression. Dr. Leaf is a scientist who has done amazing work with thousands of clients to prove that our brains can heal.

Thank you Dr. Caroline Leaf. You are so inspiring and helpful. Thank you for helping us deepen our relationship with Jesus. I am reading her book, “Switch On Your Brain,” which includes the “21 Day Brain Detox Plan.” I intend to implement this brain detox plan soon.

Ten natural remedies for alleviate symptoms of diabetes are included in this article. Here is an excerpt from this article.

“Type 2 diabetes (also called diabetes mellitus) results from the perfect storm of not enough movement, too much of the wrong foods, emotional stress, lack of sleep, toxins, and genetics.  More often than not, patients with type 2 diabetes look towards natural medicine in addition to their conventional medicine for help in treating their disease.  Natural medicines and using food as medicine is a wonderful way to complement your diabetes treatment.”

Exercise is essential for good health. This article gives specific advice for people who have diabetes to inspire you and equip you with tips that can help you feel safe exercising. Exercise also helps decrease the chances you will be depressed. Exercise increases your energy so you can do the things like preparing healthy food.

Therefore, I suggest that you read up on the vagus nerve and the specific things you can do to have optimum health by nurturing the vagus nerve. I don’t know about you, but I love to read scientific evidence about how things like laughter, having close, healthy relationships, stretching, getting sunshine, prayer, singing and meditation are all good for my health.

This article about the vagus nerve is helpful if you want scientific information. Here is an article I wrote which includes a long list of things which you can do to help heal your vagus nerve. Here is the list:

Miracle Morning

The way you start your day is immensely important. If you want to have a great day where you can do all the things you want to do in order to alleviate symptoms of diabetes, I encourage you to try this out for at least 21 days. Here are some tips on having the best morning ever.

There is no scientific evidence that I can find that says there is an exact time that you need to do something in order to form a habit. But try for a certain amount of time to do the miracle morning routine and check off each day on a calendar or chart. Even if you do each thing for a minute–that is better than nothing! And getting out of bed at a certain time that you determine is immensely powerful.

Here is an article about habits that might be helpful. We need to develop good habits and then life is not such a struggle.

I encourage you to include Christian elements in this morning routine. Scripture reading and prayer are essential. Immanuel Journaling is one way to journal to connect with Jesus. This article talks about affirmations you can adopt based on the Bible. Here is an excerpt.

“Here’s a definition of affirmations:

positive, specific statements that help you to overcome self-sabotaging, negative thoughts. They help you visualize, and believe in, what you’re affirming to yourself, helping you to make positive changes to your life and career.

The idea of this sounded good in theory. Of course, overcoming negative thoughts is good! But it seemed to leave out one big thing – it wasn’t about believing primarily in myself, but in who I was because of Christ in me.“

I hope that this information can help you have more hopefulness that a change in diet will help you to reverse the symptoms of diabetes. I would love to hear if you know of natural cures for diabetes, and if this article inspired you to try some different approaches.
