Current plans

I’m feeling very hopeful about moving forward with building the infrastructure for the future Fruitful Vegan Village. I have finally found a carpenter/electrician/handyman who I believe I can trust, and have the funds to pay him to do some key work on the common house.

In addition, I have been given a huge refrigerator which Cliff, my vegan neighbor, has agreed to have on his deck. He has electricity, and for now, the common house does not have electricity to power a refrigerator. Freezing ice for a super insulated cooler that I have will help us a lot, and I have also traded work for super foods which can be now kept refrigerated.

I plan on designing a work exchange program so that even people who do not align with the values can feel comfortable being here. I am going to do an extensive marketing campaign to find people who want to live at least temporarily in a place where they can be around other vegans, and learn community building skills including organic gardening, consent decision making and nonviolent communication.

I am planning a gathering in the fall where people can come together and envision what they would do on this land so they can realize their dreams. At this point, I would be the person making final decisions about how the land is used. My hope is that enough trust can be built between all of us so that we can proceed with making plans, building trust, and figuring out ways to cooperate so that we all can succeed.

I believe that there have been planetary changes, as well as my own transformation, that make it possible for this dream of Fruitful Vegan Village to move forward.

I invite you to look at the values and see if you align with them. If you have interest in either attending a gathering, a work exchange, or being a member, please contact me at livablefutuerproject at gmail dot com.
