Do You Have a Life-Giving Dream? Do You Need Land? Are You a Vegan? If So, Read On!

I have had the revelation that I want to attract vegan leaders and visionaries who are passionate about a vision that they have to serve the world. I own 18 acres which I intend to make into a community land trust , and you may have a vision that can be lived out on this land. I have skills as an encourager, an idea person, a project manager, and networker. I envision that a group of leaders coming together to support each other on their individual goals while sharing life together could be rewarding, exciting, inspiring, and motivating.

If you are not a vegan visionary, but want to support us, you are welcome to come along also! I have a screening process which everyone will need to go through in order to ensure that we are all compatible and committed to the beautiful challenges that community living presents. You can find that here: https://wellspringcommunityblog.wordpress.com/2023/06/29/application-for-work-exchange-position/ I need to update this so that people can apply in order to propose their project.

I am going to write what I call a “future story” where I let my imagination run free and unfettered in order to release the possibilities into the consciousness of myself and whomever reads this. I find it this to be a fun and easeful way of letting my right brain take over and letting Jesus shine through as well.

Thank you for reading this. I invite your comments and your vision. I felt so joyous writing this. When I wrote a future story about my vision for community, it actually inspired my benefactor to pour a tremendous amount of money into the project. Here is that Future Story. There is so much more I could add, but I need to fulfill some commitments. Love to all! And hear is the story I happily imagine…

A Future Story

I am SO happy to report that in January 2025, one year after I put out the blog post where I shared my vision of bringing together vegan visionaries to ground and implement their projects on the Wilberforce Village land, that my dream has become a reality.

Now there is a beautifully complementary team of people who include the visionaries as well as those who want to support us in manifesting our heartfelt, sometimes life-long desires to build a better world in the way that each of us is uniquely made for.

Not everyone is a naturally visionary, but everyone is a leader. We empower everyone to be a leader, with all being valued. Whether they work in the garden, cook the food, build the buildings, create the sustainable off the grid systems, take care of children, clean, or are the coordinator and initiator of a project–they are all equally valuable. Everyone is needed!

Since so many work-exchangers and others have come forth to help with various projects, we are more than ready to deal with emergencies such as food and fuel shortages. We are as self-sufficient as we could possibly be.

Some of the projects that are already being embarked upon are as follows:

Holistic Healing Center

Intergenerational School especially serving homeschoolers and elders who have wisdom to share

Restoration home for victims of sex trafficking–of all ages.

Homeless restoration: Helping homeless people find their value and get back on their feet stronger than ever.

Retreat center

Wilderness Living Skills Center

Birthing Center

Emergency Health Care

Holistic Dentistry

Permaculture School

Sustainable Living Skills–Learning how to build naturally and live off the grid easily

Cottage Industries Collective: Empowering people to use their skills to make a right livelihood including pottery, fermenting food, making healthy vegan food to sell, sharpening tools.

Organizing Collective: People are trained to work in the huge hoarder jobs where a team of people are needed to help lovingly transform a terribly toxic home into a clean, clear environment.

Permaculture Nursery: Supplying all kinds of plants including wild edibles both locally and mail order.

Mushroom Growing

Sustainable Service Collective: A group of people who help each other to market services such as mobile mechanic, bicycle repair, organic gardening (transforming yards into food forests), building tiny homes, handyman work, building homes out of natural materials.

Artist Collective: Encouraging artists in the area to be able to share their work including visual, weaving, pottery, portraits, cartoons, and sculpture. The incorporate art into designing gardens, cob homes, murals, outdoor spaces as well as more conventional ways.

Community Skills Training: Teaching such skills as Nonviolent Communication, Sociocracy 3.0, emotional healing, conflict resolution, mediation and so much more.

Mushroom Farm

Production Studio: For music recordings, podcasts, Youtube, documentaries and more.

Community Collaboration: A non-profit which is helping Madison County in countless ways, networking and bringing people together in cooperation, to thrive.

Can you believe this list? If you have any ideas for projects please tell me!

Each one of these projects has a lead person who is getting support from people who are specifically focused on their goal. But we also share meals which are prepared by the support staff who love to make healthy, whole, mostly raw, oil-free vegan meals. Isn’t it wonderful that we are growing most of the healthy food they are preparing?

The Mir House, call that because in Czech language the word “mir” means miracle, is being used beautifully for all kinds of things. (This common house already exists but needs to be finished) Since everyone can use the bathhouse, sauna and laundry room (not done) they don’t have to build these more expensive items right away. The studio (yes, there is a place) is also shared by everyone who contribute to the costs of paying the talented staff who is in charge of that most important resource.

Since there is electricity going to the Mir House (not yet, but hopefully soon) everyone can tap into the internet (very high speed is available) and of course no one needs a big kitchen at this point since there is a spacious dining area and kitchen.

There is even a library (yes, it exists) and a private office space which people can reserve in order to have private meetings.

We also have space in the MIr House to have gatherings such as business meetings birthday parties, holiday gatherings, and other special events. Getting together like this bonds us and helps prevent conflicts as we share life together and lavishly delight in each other.

We have lots of celebrations including on Sundays where we have discovered ways of connecting and resting in focusing on our Creator in the various ways that we feel drawn to do so. After all, in order to create a peaceful world where everyone can thrive, we need to put aside our differences in our beliefs and discover how we can harmonize. We can have our private times of devotions, prayers, meditations as we wish, but Sundays are a day to really connect and rest.

Abundance of money is flowing in as everyone’s businesses and non-profits are flourishing. The Community Land Trust that was created soon after this vision was introduced, has the clear legal agreements that everyone needs to have so that they feel confident that the energy and money they are putting into the land holding they are leasing will be well-invested and secure until the next 7 generations. We are soon to expand the Community Land Trust model to more property in Living Springs which is the neighborhood which Wilberforce Village is part of.

Everyone is so healthy as we encourage and make it easy for people to eat healthy, do everything that contributes to a healthy vagus nerve, and live the life that is exemplified by people who live to a ripe and vibrant age in the blue zones. Of course if people come and are sick, they can get well by going to the holistic healing center. No one is turned away by lack of funds, but everyone who comes can contribute in some way.

We’ve created a Time Bank so that within our village and in our neighborhood we can exchange services in a way that helps ensure fairness and accountability. We are about to expand it to Madison County and soon to Northwest Arkansas. Eventually we will be an online Timebank and unite all people who see a vision of a world where all can thrive so they will not have such a big need for money.

It is lovely to see that everyone works together on the common land like the gardens, foot paths, roads, and restoring the old travel trailer and the broken down cabin. People have so much energy, and they get credit for contributing to the common land work via the Time Bank which is such an easy way to keep track of work. People are trading their services with each other through the Timebank so they need less money. Of course people give and receive as they choose, also.

Everyone has found a way of living in their own space that is safe and secure and warm in the winter. Tree houses, underground homes, and tiny homes are wonderfully creative. People use materials such as cob, cordwood, papercrete, straw bale and more in order to use natural building materials.

We’ve dug a big swimming pond which is a wonderful gathering place during the warm months. The parents and children really love that! The sand volleyball court, trampoline, and creative all age playground really add an element of fun.

Money is flowing in so beautifully. Because we have found an administrator who is excellent at dealing with the business and money side of things, those who want to can be under the umbrella of a cooperative and not have to deal with so many headaches like bookkeeping, payroll, etc. Using Sociocracy 3.0 governing system, we are increasingly empowered to be involved in the decision making that we need to be involved in, but not overwhelmed by so many details. As we grow in trust, we are delegating more and more so we can use our specially endowed gifts and talents.

Isn’t it wonderful that one of the requirements of living in the community is to learn Nonviolent Communication? Going into the deeper parts of living out this language of love and life has changed all of us, helping us heal our past trauma and engage in ways that truly are fulfilling.

I feel so grateful to Jesus because he guided me in doing all of this. Everyday I surrender my life to him and ask him to be guided in this beautiful vision that I believe he wants to co-create with all of us. As in the past, when I finally had full ownership of the land so that the community could be launched, (really happened), and a benefactor donated the resources to do some land restoration and build the common house (really happened), and since I have been able to co-caretake a beautiful log house near the Wilberforce Village land for the past 7 years (really happened), and even the fact that Robert and Cliff (former husbands) and I were able to buy this land 23 years ago (really happened) are all miracles that I could not have planned out.

Back to the Present

And thus, now that I have written all this and reported on the future happenings of Wilberforce Village, I feel hopeful that people are going to really get excited and want to join this vision.
I believe that spreading the vegan message is going to happen through love–just as I believe the Christian message of hope in Jesus ultimate reconciliation of all life–will be spread through love. If we can be examples of people who are truly learning to love and teaching others to do the same, our message is powerful indeed. All things are possible with God.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!

Thank you for reading this. I invite your comments and your vision. I felt so joyous writing this. When I wrote a future story about my vision for community, it actually inspired my benefactor to pour a tremendous amount of money into the project. I tried to find that vision, which I am sure I posted on a blog, and I can not find it! I have SO many blogs. There is so much more I could add, but I need to fulfill some commitments. Love to all!

Afterthoughts:

Here are some more projects I want to add:

Farm Animal Sanctuary

Rainwater Collection Collective

Christian Universalist Monastery

Vegan Campground

Musical group that performs, and give music lessons. Concerts that bring communities together to sing songs of connection and cooperation and hope along with groups and businesses that are contributing to enriching the local community can have booths at the concert.

If someone has a really great project and does not have money in the beginning to invest in land, I am willing to negotiate with people. The land and the Mir House is all paid for. However, money is needed–mostly to improve and expand the Mir House and get more gardens going.

I plan on putting links in this blog post so you can know more clearly what I am talking about. Pray for me that I will complete that soon!

  1. Hello, I may have more to say later but for the moment I wanted to mention that it seems two links are missing. In the second paragraph a link to the screening process, and in the last paragraph a link to the story of benefactor funding. You may delete this comment after you read it . 🙂
