The Hidden Cost of Our Plates: A Five-Part Series

Watercolor of people of all ages caring for a garden and for rescued animals at a sanctuary
This is the kind of meadow I dream of, where people of every age and rescued animals simply enjoy being together. It’s easy to see that caring for animals and caring for people go hand in hand.

This five-part series looks at what our food choices do to the animals, to the people who eat them, and to the people who work in slaughterhouses, and at what actually helps people make kinder choices.

I wrote this series together with Claude, an AI from Anthropic. I brought my questions and ideas, and Claude helped write it and expand the research.
