I learned about the FIC in 1975 and they set me on a lifelong path of having the goal of living in an intentional community. I never thought I would be able to afford to buy land but now I own land and a common house and am almost ready to invite people who are aligned with my vision and values to join me. I am doing my best to create vision and values that encourage a diverse group of people to participate, but also to make the boundaries clear enough so that those who come together can have healthy conflict not the unhealthy conflict that can result when sociopaths, psychopaths, and narcissists and others who have serious mental problems get involved.

Eventually my hope is that even the the most hurting of humans will find healing in the various centers of healing which I envision in this community. But for a start up, we need people who have the skills and mindset that community founders need in order to move forward.
